As the title says we expected much better quality from Double Tree. The room was very musty/moldy and wrecked havoc on our sinuses. In hindsight we could have asked for another room but traveling with two young children is difficult. Overall the inside of the hotel seemed as though it needed an overalhaul. The elevator stunk and the appearance was run down. I woke with some mysterious rash on my chest, hard to say what it is but I can say I did not have it before I spent the night. In a nutshell, we could have stayed somewhere half the cost and most likely experienced better quality although the cookies upon checkin are a nice touch.

Utilized this hotel for a soccer tournament nearby. Hotel also had a wedding party booked. Upon check-in realized the wedding was in the courtyard of the hotel; nice for the couple; not so great for us. We had to part the seas of the receiving line to get to the elevator; a little uncomfortable for the soccer girls to interrupt this important ritual. Our room was located on the 3rd floor next to the 'closed' elevator; thus, we needed to utilize the elevator at the other end of the property and walk the entire hotel floor to get to our room; not fun with bags and goodies in tow. Apparently, the 'cocktail reception area'/entrace to the ballroom was the area outside the elevator which would have brought us right to our door. Would like to have known of this inconvenience at check-in. Rooms were nice; bathrooms need some serious updating; dark and dingy. Smoke-free at the beginning of July; Yeah! The half glass walls used to keep the smoke from filtering into the entrance don't work as well as the property may think.

The hotel was easy to find and the staff were outstanding. Staff was extremely helpful and met all of our requests. We even asked to change rooms due to smaller double beds and they were happy to move us to a King room with a sleeper sofa at no additional charge. Fitness center was also wonderful - small but with all the neccessities. Only drawback was no contintental breakfast included with stay and no coffee other than two small cups in your room.

The staff welcomes you with smiles and warm cookies (always a bonus when traveling with kids). The beds were very comfortable. The pool was a bit cool but clean. They were out of towels, but got right on it when they were alerted to it. I would stay here again.
