The Hilton Melbourne Beach was a wonderful place to stay! The location was great! Just a $15 cab ride into downtown Melbourne for an amazing night life! There is a whole street of different kinds of bars! The pool area was somewhat small with not a lot of room to lay out at the pool. The water in the pool is heated. There is a bar right near the pool and easy access to the beach! You could never go thirsty! The beach area was a beautiful place to lay out - there is a reef there, so a little difficult to get in the water and swim. The room was cleaned wonderfully every day! The hotel staff were so polite with every request from bringing a razor and shaving cream to the room to the front desk graceously calling cabs.

My wife and I planned a short getaway and decided to "point" this property because of its' location. We were totally impressed from the moment we walked in the place. The staff was extremely accommodating. They allowed us the use of pool/beach towels even before we were able to check in...and even after we checked out, just so we could get in some extra beach time. The breakfast buffet was very good...and filling. We also enjoyed the fact that this is not a commercialized area. Quaint shops and restaurants. The only minor downside was that there is a small strip of reef rock at the shoreline in front of the hotel. It was only a very minor inconvenience to walk another 20 yards or so either side of it to go into the ocean.

My husband and I recently returned from a 10 day stay in FL, celebrating our 15th anniversary, my birhday and visiting with family. Unfortunately we were only able to stay at this hotel for one night. It was beautiflu! We spent several hours on the beach, swimming, walking and shelling. Great ocean view, comfy beds, clean modern rooms. We even arrived early (2hours) and they were able to let us into our room anyway! The only thing I would have liked, which I did read in a previous review was a small fridge and microwave in the room. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, lots of choices which is important to me as I have Celiac DIsease and need to keep my diet free of Gluten. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant, but ventured out to find a restaurant. There is a sports grill just up the road called Bunky's where we ate lunch - it was popular and great for lunch, but we were looking for a different atmosphere for dinner. In order to find a restaurant you need to travel up 192 over the bridge and you'll find a plethora of chain restaurants. we chose a Red Lobster and had a nice dinner.

We stayed in a Jr. ste. The rooms were smaller than expected and the balcony was not large enough for chairs. Overall, we had a great stay at the Hilton. The staff was fantastic and the food at Atlantic Jack's was delicious. We would definitely stay again.

We will not stay here again. Room was not what we thought was advertised on the web. Most all rooms have ocean view; but if you really want oceanfront; you need to specify. Ocean view here means partial ocean view. Be sure to find out where your room is. The older tower has more rooms looking at the ocean at about a 45 degree angle from the beach. The newer tower's rooms look directly north and south except for the end rooms which are ocean front. 1 of 3 rooms was not ready at 4pm check-in. A/C worked. Rooms do have a fridge. You cannot see the ocean from the lobby or pool as advertised--both are below the sandbar sea wall. Pool is somewhat small considering the size of the hotel. Elevators are super slow. Parking is good (and free) as long as they are not having an event. There is no microwave whatsoever on the premises for guests to use. We asked if the kitchen could warm up some left overs we had from a nice dinner and they refused saying they could not be held responsible since the food was not from their hotel. Entry door from south side parking entrance was broke the entire 4 night stay. Food is OK. Waiter forgot soup with the order and told them to take it off. Hotel is further away from Cocoa beach and space center. Oh and their website says they have a spa....well not on site. They advertise for a spa about a mile down the road. If you choose to stay here, check out the Raddison which is right next door first. All their rooms are ocean front since the entire hotel is parallel to the ocean beach.
