My girlfriends and I recently stayed at this Doubletree location and the hotel was a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! The valets never helped us at check-in or check out, when we checked in our room was a mess, and housekeeping "forgot" to clean our room the next day. At check-in not a single Valet helped us unload our luggage. NOT ONE so as much walked over and offered to get the suitcases out of the cars or even open the doors. Instead they watched us, all women in heels unload heavy suitcases. When we arrived to our room the sofa cushions were overturned, and a few of the dresser drawers were open, the toilet seats were up, there was only 1 remote control for 3 TVs, the dishwasher was broken, and we were missing a dining room chair. The next day our room was not cleaned. When we called for housekeeping, a housekeeper arrived after 15 minutes and proceeded to “clean”. She arrived with just her gloves on, NO CLEANING PRODUCTS OR TOWELS WHATSOEVER!! How do you clean a room full of 5 women with no cleaning products? Apparently you don’t! After the housekeeper left we went to our bathrooms we noticed all our tubs were still dirty, the empty shampoo bottles and wet washcloths we left in them were still sitting there.At check-out the valets AGAIN did not assist us load our luggage. They just watched us! If I stay at a nice hotel I expect to get better service than this. If I want motel quality service I'll save my money and go to a motor inn.

It was our first time in Austin and the staff was superb! We were given a ride to the Erwin Center by the hotel shuttle. Our two sons enjoyed the trip. * at the front desk in so helpful. All staff including the men that came up quickly to unplug our toilet, turn on the heater and replace our coffee machine were professional. The hotel is so close to the Capitol & U of T that we loved the location. The hotel was friendly, clean and helpful with attractions, food and local events. We enjoyed great BBQ - Driftwood is the best!

We did enjoy our one night stay at the Doubletree Guest Suites. The hotel is very well located, the reception is well maintained and the staff is very helpful and professional. The room size was excellent. The only negative comment that I have is that the rooms need an update. For the regular price that they charge (we got a food deal), they do need some renovation.

We've stayed at the doubletree two years straight for this trip and once again it was very nice. Great rooms with updated Sharp LCD's made it even nicer. Clean rooms and very courteous hotel staff will keep us coming back. The warm cookies and check-in are always a delight as well. For the middle of the road price, you can't beat this hotel for comfort and it's convenience to everything around it. The one thing I'd like to see change, is if you're willing to book ahead and pay in advance, I'd like to see the parking fees either waived or discounted. The breakfast buffet is a little pricey, but the food is always great with a wide variety to choose from. I highly recommend it.
