I love this hotel . . . from the charming courtyard entrance to the comfortable, 2 room suites which easily accommodate my family of 5. We live in the suburbs of Houston and always stays at the Doubletree for special weekends or for Christmas shopping at the Galleria which is within walking distance. The rooms are well maintained, tastefully decorated and feature 2 t.v.'s (key for travelling with kids), a dining table with four chairs, sleeper sofa (mattress wasn't too great), and a club chair. We only use the kitchen to store soft drinks in the refrigerator but it's definitely a perk. The large, pool/spa area and fitness center were a big hits with my kids. Location is right in the heart of the Galleria area and is within a one mile radius of numerous restaurants and tons of shopping. Staff was amazingly friendly and very helpful. For the price and location, this hotel can't be beat.

"Four Star Quality" by Barbara D.

The Doubletree Suites Galleria has been added to my short list of favorite places to stay. It does a great job of holding a solid position among the other hoteliers in the area, since I’ve stayed in every 4 and 5-star hotel in the Galleria; there is not much of a difference in terms of amenities and service quality in this 3 ½ -star property. Great Job! There were many employees note-worthy: Wes, front desk, was efficient, sharp, and very knowledgeable in every aspect of the check-in process. Prior to my arrival, ABC took great care in my trip preparation and later followed-up to make sure I was well cared for. XYZ, showed dedication and professionalism in the way he handled room service procedures. ABC, in the Executive Lounge, was charming and more than receptive to guests needs. I was most impressed with ABC charm, smile, and she possesses a natural ability of properly handling guest, during check out. She’s a keeper for sure! Finally, abc and xyz do a fairly good job of handing the front door, bags, valet, and porter duties; however, I would suggest that they are more aware of the needs of guest arrivals and departures. Simple things like: always opening doors, and having a watchful eye, goes far, considering they are the first and last impressions being made ultimately for the hotel. Surprisingly, I noticed a kid (a girl, approximately 8-years of age) in the Business center, alone, using the computer for about ten minutes, then she sprinted out to the valet guys. Perhaps this should be noted as a possible concern. There is a hand-sanitizer dispenser in the lobby. What an excellent idea, considering the hotel offers delicious cookies and refreshment at check-in and throughout your stay...All-in-All, this was a great experience.
