Got a king room reservation with travleocity even though the hotel web site said they were out. Arrived at 3 PM and check in was a snap. Parking was $* a day during our stay and that's a bargain. There's no valet service but their private lot is adjacent to the hotel and fairly secure. Leave your car there and take public transportation if at all possible... you will save a bundle on parking fees. Sreet cars, buses, taxis are a few steps from the hotel. Room was clean and very roomy for 2 people. Didn't stay in the room much but it was a comfortable place to recharge. Elevator requires a room key to operate as well as the front door after 10 PM (makes you feel secure). Don't get me wrong though, I never felt uneasy the entire trip, even when walking back to the hotel with my wife from Bourbon St. well after 12 PM. You won't get a great view from any of the rooms since there are only 9 floors, but you can get a decent view from the roof pool area. Pool and hot tub was very clean and well kept during our stay. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful and can point you to almost anywhere you want to go. Free breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The 5:30 PM kick back is a great way to get a start on the evening. It's not top shelf booze or steak but it gets the job done and the price is right!! The hotel doesn't sell alcohol at any time, so keep that in mind if you want a nightcap. Limited service hotel but a great value in a great location. Would definitely stay again.

Very disappointing- we left a day early
09/08/2010Our room was damp; the towels were damp, carpet damp, bed damp. one night was more than enough.management did try to offer alternatives, but we were ready to leave.

Entering this luxury hotel you are surrounded my marble. From the lobby to your room even the bathroom, nothing but marble. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. I am the tour coordinator for a youth choir and we had a block of ten rooms. We were not charged for the motorcoach's parking in the lot. Breakfast consisted of the same items everyday, however there is such a variety, you never have to eat the same items every morning. The children were allowed to drink juice and soft drink all day and were treated to popcorn in the evening. The hotel is in walking distance to Canal Street and the French Quarter. I plan to visit New Orleans again soon without children and I will make this my choice for my hotel stay.
