The queen beds (both of them) in our room must have been used as trampolines. When you lay on them you roll to the center. It made for long and uncomfortable night. The rooms are very austere. Walls are completely bare. No pictures or any room decorations. Television is pearched on top of the wardrobe cabinet (no other closet or rack in room) and as such had a very wierd viewing angle. Room was clean which is important. Breakfast was pretty thin compared to other motels and picked over by 8:00 A.M. Some of the best plantations in the country are located just south of town on a national historic trail. These are not to be missed. Downtown Natchitoches (pronounced nack-a-tish) is a beautiful place to wander around.

This was a nice place to stay. Clean and comfortable! The people at the front desk were very helpful. I would recommend staying here. Very easy access to and from Highway 49. The pool was also nice.

EconoLodge means what the name says. It's a place to sleep - beds are comfortable, bathrooms are suitably clean, breakfast is basic carbs, etc. The air smells a bit off, but OK. It gets noisy when the hotel is full. If you want swanky and spotless, pay twice as much.
