The room was comfortable enough but I could hear noise from above and nearby rooms, even though the occupants did not seem especially noisy. There is also a casino adjacent to the hotel and I was woken by rowdy gamblers a couple of times during the night. Also, the coffee maker did not work.

The price was reasonable, the room was large and clean, with a comfortable queen bed, 3 easy chairs and a table. Shower was nice, bathroom spotless. Heater worked well, TV with lots of channels. There was a small refrigerator as well as a microwave and coffeemaker. I was near the street but, aside from 2 emergency sirens in 3 days, I wasn't aware of traffic noise. No sound from adjoining rooms either. Lighting was adequate, with 4 lamps in the bedroom, but I would have liked one or two brighter bulbs. The staff were courteous and friendly, and able to allow me a couple hours late check-out time without extra charge. Breakfast was adequate, including hard-boiled eggs. I hoped for a ground floor room, but the elevator worked perfectly, so second floor was just fine. Appreciated access to free computer use in the lobby. A shuttle from the airport would have been helpful, but the motel is close enough to the airport that $* covered the taxi and tip nicely. Definitely will try to remember this place for my next visit to Bellingham!

We selected this hotel based on the price and the other write in reviews. I must say, the write in (v. Travelocity ratings) were spot on. We paid $65/night (one half the price of the Holiday Inn) for a non smoking double queen room which as very clean. The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer and other amenities typically found in higher priced hotels. The bathroom was very clean, as were the linens, and towels. The only outdoor pool was closed for the winter and it is on the smaller size. A Jacuzzi was also present, but closed as well. My son studies at WWU so we plan to stay here again. Over all Value Rating: 4.5 of 5 Stars!!

This is a large facility. The rooms are clean. Furniture is in great condition. No odors. Heaters work. Bathrooms are spotless. Shower's water pressure is a bit weak though. I suppose that is an effort to go green. They have a continental breafast. Simple but more than adequate. The people are friendly and helpful. All night restaurants are closeby (other side of freeway). This motel is near the I-5 freeway so it provides easy on, easy off access. They have a pool but when I am there it is closed for winter.

My wife and I were leaving for Las Vegas early in the morning on a Friday so (being from Surrey, BC) we decided to stay in Bellingham the night before the flight so not to be rushed. When picking a hotel/motel, this was the cheapest one but it didn't get much in the way of good reviews on this site and another one. Let me tell you -- we were surprised, pleasantly! There was some renovations being done on the front office and the swimming pool was closed (it was March haha) but that's all I can say that is bad. The room smelled normal (aka not smokey) and there was no noise issues. The room had a blow dryer and a working fridge, two things you don't always get in a budget hotel. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. We asked for more pillows and, after going to pick them up from the office, our wish was granted. The only negative I'd say was the shower had poor water preasure...didn't make for much of an experience. But the whole bathroom was clean, so it could have been worse. Very close to the airport (like 10 minutes I think or less) so it was the right choice for us. Believe me: This is a great deal for under $70.
