This hotel was the worst I've ever stayed in the US. The primary occupants were families receiving welfare vouchers. I cant't even begin to describe the room - the walls were covered with green psychedelic swirls, the drapes were rags, the carpet was filthy, the faucet and bath tub did not work properly, the bed was as hard as a rock, etc. We were afraid for our personal and vehicle safety. We wished we had brought protection - It was THAt bad!!!!! If the online travel agency had ever even seen this place (ElDorado Motel in Salinas) I cannot imagine they would put it on their recommended list. Please, if you are reading this review, DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I do not expect to see this review posted because it is so critical of the online travel agency and the motel. I know I will NEVER use this online travel agency again and certainly will tell my friends/associates about my experiences, so they won't either. I would not wish this dump on my worst enemy. This is simply outrageous. Shame on you.

The motel should be renamed as El Dorado Brothel. Prostitutes come from Fresno area and stay in there for weekends. There is a huge traffic of their "customers" in the motel. I was along with my wife and in-laws. We went to check in and found out the dead bolt for the room was broken. It took them 1 hour to fix the bolt. In that hour we were sitting in the car outside the hotel room. All of the rooms right in front of ours were full of prostitutes. They were walking around, negotiating the rate, the sight was definitely not what one should expect in motel. On top of it room quality was the worst i have ever seen, Sticky floor, unclean bathroom, unclean bed etc etc etc. I asked the manager for full refund because it was not a family motel. He told me to contact travelocity. Even travelocity's response was pretty awful. After a long battle of 2 hours, eventually I got everything refunded. That night was gone as we have to look for another hotel and most of the rooms were full. If possible do not book from travelocity, these guys are not customer friendly. This is the last time I am using this website.

The room was not clean. It was a non smoking room that smelled of smoke and other strange odors. In fact there were cigarett burn holes in the bedspread. The locks on the door were push button - not very secure at all. Was afraid to leave anything in the room. The hotel was noisy. When asking for a receipt on the way out the staff didn't even know how to do it. The most embarrassing part was when another online travel website guest had to call online travel website when the Hotel didn't have her reservation. Overall a very bad experience. I guess you get what you pay for. I would not stay there again, or recommend any one else to stay, even if for one night.

This motel is good for maybe a one stay, but if I would not stay there more than one night and the only reason I may be willing to go back is the shopping and restaurants.
