Just stayed at this hotel. Wonderful people working there in all parts of the hotel. Quick resolution to any issues. Location is great for downtown and close to the interstate to get to places like Adventureland and the Zoo. Two room suite was wonderful for our kids and us. Nice to have a livingroom to relax in while the kids fall asleep. Like the others have mentioned the living room furniture and carpet were a little worn. Breakfast and managers reception far outweighs these issues. Great value for the cost. Boozies is nice place, kid-friendly. If the weather permits, eat outside. Nice and relaxing. $*a night parking is a bit much but it is nice to have a designated lot to park in. Seemed safe enough.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and were very pleased with it. The hotel was full but we never had a problem with noise, it was very quiet. The river view from our room was fantastic and the room was spacious--perfect for my husband, my teenage daughter and me. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. There is a big buffet breakfast in the morning which included eggs, sausage and bacon, hashbrowns, as well as all the other typical breakfast foods. The downsides of the hotel are the expensive daily parking fee, and the fact that coffee was not available for free after breakfast. We're going to be back in Des Moines in a couple of months and will stay here again.

Our stay at the DesMoines Embassy Suites was great! We traveled there for a wedding and our room was ready early and we were thrilled. The breakfast was great and there was room for the whole family to get together and visit. I would gladly go back!!
