My husband and I have stayed here twice now and it has been such a pleasent experience both of those times. We were in the area for an animal hospital visit and wanted to find a budget friendly hotel and didn't need any bells and whistles. Our rooms were super clean and they do offer a refridgerator in room. They offer a small breakfast in the morning. Also, they were very accomodating to our dog who traveled with us for a fee. I would definatley recommend this hotel for travelers who aren't looking for a pool and jaccuzzi suite.

We stayed here for a night because this was the hotel that was provided when we booked using the Top Secret Hotel deal. The hotel smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke, and the room that we reserved was both tiny and rundown. The carpet was ripped in numerous places, the bathroom was not clean, and the sheets, blankets and towels had numerous unidentifiable stains. Just like the previous reviewer, I too peeked in the other rooms as we made our way out of the hotel the next day, and it definitely appeared that the other rooms were larger and in much better condition. Perhaps we both received the "discount" room. I definitely will not stay here again.

I have very minimal standards for inexpensive hotels, I don't care if the TV works, if there is internet or if the room is spacious, all I need is cleanliness. And sadly my standards were not met, stains on everything, a sticky substance resembling peanut butter on the shower wall, there was no fitted sheet, just an extra top sheet so in the middle of the night I found myself face to face with a stained mattress. On our way out I peaked in a room being cleaned and it appeared much nicer/cleaner than the one I had just stayed in so perhaps mine was an isolated event.

What a great place to stay! The rooms are clean and staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Located only 6 minutes from UIUC and adjacent to the mall, various eateries, and the interstate, the hotel is so convenient. I intend to use the Super 8 for all of my trips to Champaign!
