Hotel was beautiful, clean, & exactly what we hoped for. The entire staff bent over backwards to make you happy. We loved the nightly entertainment. The last night we were there we enjoyed a Dominican style dinner right on the beach. The live music that they had every 2-3 days was awesome. My boyfriend & I are in our mid-late20's &we were so happy that we selected an adult's only resort. The size of the resort was big enough that you could get away for privacy if you wanted, or mingle w/ other couples. The couples that we met there were a blast. Our room was great! I paid for a garden view & upon arrival I asked for a room on the third floor in a great location, if possible. The front desk ending up giving us a honeymoon suite on the third floor w/ a balcony facing a partial view of the ocean! The 1st floor rooms seemed very nice too & had their own hammock! The hostesses were amazing, we loved the staff @ The Grill especially! We did the horse excursion on our 2nd day, which was fun. But, the horses were a little small & seemed lethargic, so I probably wouldn't do this again, but we wanted to get everything we could 4 our stay. We also booked a zip line excursion through the hotel which was a lot of fun. The ride 2 the mountains was an hour & VERY bumpy, I was sore the next day from the drive. Zip lining was fun, but be prepared to hike a little through the mountains! Ocean water was a little rough, but fun, couldn't swim out too far. Have been raving about resort to our families, didn't want 2 leave, CANNOT wait 2 go back!!!

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon and it was the best resort we have ever stayed at! The staff goes out of their way to just say hi and ask if you need anything, and the night entertainment if great. The only downfall is the ride to and from the airport which takes about an hour. Since I read most of the reviews before booking here I knew this ahead of time and knew what to expect, figure it is about a $* cad ride to and from the airport. The beds were a little hard but that is only because we are use to real soft ones. Otherwise we have nothing to complain about, we spent most of our time by the cascade pool during the day and the martini bar night. The food is great and much better than other all-inclusive places we have been to and they have something for everyone, doesn't matter if you want nice French food to just French fries you will find something there. We can't wait to go back there and have already started to plan another trip there with friends. If you are watching the shows at night make to find Omar the waiter, he will take great care of you! We also did the Zip lines and deep sea fishing, my wife got seasick but I had a blast and we both loved Zip lining and the prices were fair. For anything off the resort from adventures to cigars make sure to negotiate the price.

We went here a few years ago on our Honeymoon. We loved it. The restaurants are wonderful, loved the horse backriding, grounds are kept imaculatly, shows were fun and excursions selections good. One tip, book your nights at the exclusive restaurants as soon as you arive as well as your horseback riding and other special events you want to try. We will return in the future on anniversary.

Service was just ok (surprising since DR is great for service) If you go book a club room - huge difference in amenities Club concierge service staff were terrible Beach has high waves and very choppy water - hard to swim Lots of up selling by tour operators who comb the grounds continually - very irritating Food was marginal at best (grill and lobster house were the best) Watch out for truck that runs across beach several times a day with garbage If you think as 5 stars as resorts like the four seasons....this place doesn't compare
