We arrived at this smaller boutique hotel after a bad trip and a previous stay at a hotel in Florence (which was also unpleasant). When the taxi pulled up to the entrance, we were immediately pleased. It is located on a side street and is therefore away from the traffic noise and commotion along the major boulevard which is two blocks away. The room was gorgeous with rich fabrics and appointments. The bathroom was spotless. It had a big bathtub and marble finishes. The staff was friendly and attentive. Without qualification, in my 53 yrs, this is the best hotel that I have visited. We can't wait to go back.

This is lovely boutique hotel in a peaceful and very upscale neighborhood. We received a upgrade to a jr. suite that was spacious and sweetly decorated with cloth covered walls (very sound resistant) and lavish, coordinating draperies. There was a large and tastey breakfast buffet: yougurt, cheeses, ham, fruit, cereals. Helpful, friendly staff, everything worked, metro 2 blocks away, surrounded by couture fashion salons. The many neighborhood restaurants are pricey, but the restaurants of the 7th arr. are reasonable and only a 20 minutewalk over the Seine.

Finding a classic, elegant hotel in the 8e is almost impossible but the Hotel Chambiges Elysees is the one. Friendly, helpful service; beautifully decorated rooms; quiet bar; great breakfast area; and ideal location with reasonable prices make this my favorite in Paris.
