We had a very pleasant experience with the Extended Stay Deluxe Midtown in Anchorage. Hotel staff was polite and were very helpful. For the cheaper price you don't get daily room service, but that was fine with me! Room was clean, sheets were clean, lobby was in decent condition. Good location, lots of restaurants nearby. Only complaint is the rooms aren't very soundproof. If you're looking for a hotel to sleep at while on vacation, I would highly recommend this place. We weren't in the room much - we were out exploring the great outdoors! However, if you're planning on spending the entire trip in your room, it might not be the place to stay.

If you're not looking for fancy, but merely a place to sleep in between your outdoor adventures, I would recommend this hotel. No frills, just the basics in a large space for a great price. The place was clean when we visited, no weird smells, staff was okay but you don't really see them much besides check in/out. In a good location near the Glenn and Seward Highways and near lots of good restaurants within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel.

A dog house would be better. Our room was beyond filthy, the front desk said the cleaner had a bad day, they did not even offer to clean it or move us to another room. It must have been a full moon because the place was full of drunks untill 5 am, we were to stay 3 days but on was all we coud take.
