The Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle was not worth the $* night before tax that I paid for it. It is in a good location in downtown Seattle and upon arriving the lobby and mezzanine floors are spectacular. However the rooms are not, the furniture, curtains, and bedding are very dated and look old. The bed was uncomfortable and the linens were stiff. The bathroom was updated and very nice and the only good thing about the room. Parking is $* a day and run by a separate company in a building across the street which made paying and retrieving my car difficult and the front desk couldn't give me clear answers on how to do either. Make a few updates to the room and the Fairmont might be worth the price tag, however I have stayed in a lot nicer hotels for a lot cheaper. Will not be staying at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle ever again.

Everything was a 5-star experience. The hotel staff even brought us a plate full of chocolate covered strawberries for our Anniversary. We had a basic king size room which was surprisingly large and had a fabulous bathroom with marble tile and granite countertops. The showerhead was very slow-flow and not adjustable. The bed linens were fantastic, but the bed had a cheap mattress and was very spring-y. There's no hiding that under a down comforter.

I stayed for 5 days in April 2010. the building has lots of history and very nice architecture. The staff is excellent and the rooms nicely done. But dont go here if you want modern or chic. This is an old money old school sort of place. Thats not a bad thing but its not for everyone. The staff was really wonderful- they went out of their way to be cheerful and helpful. The location is great if you want to be downtown. You can easily walk to major tourist attractions and the metro train is an easy walk #40no need to take a taxi from the airport#41. The gym was not great but for a hotel it was certainly better than average. the pool is in a nice greenhouse with outdoor seating. My only complaint is that the windows are old and single pane and allowed a lot of street noise through. Dont stay here if you need quiet.

what a wonderful grand luxury hotel ! the service could not have been better. the rooms are beautiful, quiet, and safe. the beds and feather pillows are the finest. the fitness facility could not be better, great pool and very large whirlpool. the georgian dining room is elegant to say the least with perfectly prepared food. why stay any place else when in the downtown seattle area ? I give the hotel five stars ! review by a southern ohio traveler.
