  I stayed at this hotel for eight days during a solo travel/study experience. Despite the fact that it was being renovated during my stay, the hotel staff were superb -- friendly, helpful, kind -- and breakfast was lovely. My room was perfect: quiet and clean, with a lovely view across the two big avenues where the hotel is located. This location was excellent for my purposes: close to the train, which brought me to and from the airport, as well as to excursions as diverse as Helsingor (Hamlet's castle), Roskilde (Viking Ship Museum), and across the Oresund Sound to Malm?, Sweden (Turning Torso skyscraper)for a day trip. Buses run or long hours, and statues, including the Little Mermaid, abound. Copenhagen has so very much to offer a traveler who has literary, cultural, and historical interest,s and this hotel was convenient for walking, as well. In fact, I walked every day for hours! There are also several lovely restaurants nearby, again, within walking distance. Finally, the Danes truly are hospitable and friendly -- no wonder they are the ""happiest people on Earth""!
