We LOVE the Fitzpatrick. The staff is accommodating, the rooms neat and well appointed (good bath products), and a fantastic location. Close to Grand Central Station which means you're close to all of NYC! I attend a conference at the Hyatt Grand Central around the corner every year, and I always stay here. I save about $* a night (even with the conference rate!) and much prefer this charming hotel to the large chain. Also, the adjoining pub is terrific.

My wife and I spent a long weekend there at the beginning of December and we couldn't have been happier with our selection of hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room and bath were nicely appointed and the location is in our opinion unbeatable for getting around Rockefeller Center, the theater district, 5th Avenue and the 4 and 6 trains out of Grand Central Station one block away for easy access to upper and lower East Side Manhattan. There was a bit of disorganization by the wait staff the one morning we had breakfast at the Pub, but this did not really distract from our overall satisfaction with our stay. We will definitely stay there again the next time we go to NY.

Every time I went 'home' to the Fitzpatrick Grand during my weekend in NYC, I had to go through Grand Central Station, a treat like nothing else. It set the stage for my experience in the city, and having the hotel as my base made the time absolutely perfect. The staff was very friendly, the room perfectly proportioned and very comfortable. The room service breakfast I ordered was served promptly, was moderately priced, and good (I only had the traditional eggs, coffee and toast). The only drawbacks were: wifi was NOT free (!) and the room service dishes lingered for over 8 hours outside my door. Otherwise, I look forward to a return visit.

I was in Manhattan overnight and stayed at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central as it was near a convention facility I was going to. Great location near the Empire State Building. This is an Irish-themed boutique hotel that only has 9 floors. What a great little hotel! Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were nicely appointed and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Because the hotel is small, they only have one restaurant; an Irish Pub off the lobby. The food was very good and the service was attentive. Make a point to have their traditional Irish Breakfast. At checkout, the concierge printed my boarding pass for my flight home. I would definitely stay here again.
