The Flamingo Resort and Spa is going downhill, services are being reduced, the staff is not as friendly and their Business Center is terrible - essentially it does not exist. What was once a very nice place to stay is less than mediocre, barely adequate for the price paid.

I spent just one night here in January in between wine country treks. The hotel is quite aged and needs a redo... plus pool was not heated (winter time, so common in wine country). I have to say that the staff at the front deskk were excellent, helpful with directions on the phone when I got lost, and gave me a room upgrade to a newly refurbished room... which was very nice/new. House cleaning did a great job - it was spotless in this room - I was very impressed and surprised actually. Best I've seen in years. Not sure if the other unredone rooms would have made me as happy -probably not, but if you luck out, or someone at the desk is nice enough to upgrade you.... you'll luck out. Especially appreciated the decent mattress, bedding and clean /new carpeting. Thanks Flamingo.. PS- the day I checked out, the desk staff was nice enough to spend time telling me where to jog around the area.. and found 2 maps, spending the time to answer my questions -- I really appreciate that level of service and nicety.

It's very clean and simple, and honestly I think the rate was a bit high for what they offer. I had a bit of an issue carrying all my luggage upstairs, but besides than that it is a good Hotel to stay in that area for a night or two

I would probably stay here again if it were just me, my Mother on the other hand would rather pay less money for a hotel that is not as nice but has Internet Service. Things that I liked: Swimming Pool Room Service Decent Food Clean Things that I did not like: Terrible Coffee Only one bar of soap in the bathroom Having to pay for Internet Service
