I have traveled to NYC for years, and I generally stay at my old standby places. So for me to try out another hotel is a pretty big deal. Being a business owner myself, I read some of the reviews about bad customer service but that didn't deter me because some customers can be jerks. In any event, I booked this hotel for a father and son weekend, and was pleasantly surprised! XYZ the front desk person,greeted us with smiles and joked around with me. She was also very attentive to my six year old son. As a matter of fact, everyone engaged my boy and offered him candy with smiles. The room was adequate, a little small but the bedding was spectacular. We had a great sleep. I love the Chelsea area so we were right at home. We had a blast and I would definitely stay there again. Great place for the money and kid friendly. Ask for XYZ she'll take good care of you.

The hotel is in a decent location, close to two subway stations 23st and 28th. Housekeeping personnels are nice and leave fresh free water bottles in your morning daily; however, the front desk personnel (black lady) is rude and obviously she shouldn't be working there. If you do not like super soft pillows, then i suggest you bring your own.

The concierge/front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. Check in time is normally around 1:00 p.m. and the room was not ready on time. When it was finally ready, we weren't even notified although we were in clear sight of the front desk. The manager on duty actually said "the room has been ready for 20 minutes" even though we had asked several times before. It's NY, the lobby is TINY. My party of 3 took up half, it was maybe 20 feet long and ten feet wide. I was most displeased as I normally stay in Starwood brand hotels and have never received such poor service. Even when we asked for an extra towel, the front desk was extremely rude. The room itself was clean and nice, although the lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim. I expected a lot more, what I got was attitude.

The staff was great. When our flight was cancelled the night before we were to fly home, they were very accommodating letting us extend for three more days and stay in the room we had been in. They were friendly and helpful.
