On march/26/2011 my wife and I stayed at the four points Sheraton, 1629 Lakeshore ave w in Toronto, This has got to be the poorest excuse for a hotel that we have ever experienced. First of all there was no parking, We were asked to park in a unlit parking lot on the opposite side of the busy street Lakeshore which would of lead to a half mile walk too a safe cross walk and back too the motel. after a brief argument and some shuffling of cars they found parking for us, but this caused another issue, Now one of the exits from the parking lot was blocked (not by my car, thank god) We tried to get our money back and leave but that didn't work, so we figured we stay and make the best of the situation. We finally settled into our disgusting room, It was not the cleanest room but manageable, The bathtub was very tiny and peeling its coating, after showering the water would not run out of the bathtub. Then we settled into our king size bed ( which was the nicest part of the whole experience) Then the water pipes started making loud noises all night (I'm assuming it was water pipes). I am very curious on where and how this hotel got it's four star rating, because we have stayed in 2 star hotels/motels that were above and beyond this one. And we did expect more and better service for $*.00.

Hotel window located feet (yet feet) from highway traffic. Bathroom so small, they needed to carve a divet in the door so it could open. The photos on the internet do not show the real story. Finally, hotel is in SERIOUS need of refreshing. Don't be fooled, is all I can say. That being said, the rate was cheap.

I was a little disapointed with the location of this hotel. The room itself was spacious and clean. It's advertised as ;across the street from the beach;. What is doesn't tell you is that the ;beach is always polluted with e-coli and salmonella & so for most people that would be considered unswimmable - although there were people in the water. The hotel itself offered had no. pool. They also offer a ;buffet breakfast in the morning for $ per person. They offered runny powered eggs, stale pasteries, and not much else - unless you were one of the lucky ones that were able to get 1/4 of a waffle when they brought them out every 10 minutes ;they'd bring 8 1/4 pieces at a time. We had better breakfasts at Days Inn's and Best Western Hotels and they were complimentary!!! In order to get to any other breakfast restaurants you would have to drive at least 5 miles and need to pay for parking in a parking garage.

My sister who just moved to Toronto recommended I stay at this hotel when I went to visit her in May. I was impressed with the hotel staff, as everyone was friendly and very helpful. I used the fitness centre a few times while I was there and thought the gym was well equipped. The hotel also had a nice whirlpool, sauna, and steam room, which I was able to enjoy during my stay there. From my room, I had a great view of the Lake, which was really nice, and a beautiful site at the time of year I went (beginning of June). The hotel also provides free parking, which was good as many of the other hotels have a separate daily rate for parking. Given that I had a car, the hotel was conveniently located near a highway, which allowed for easy access into downtown Toronto within a few short minutes. The service at the hotel was great, and the staff was willing to help customers with whatever they needed to ensure the customers stay at the hotel was good. I plan on staying at this hotel again next time I go to visit Toronto.
