Gold Strike Hotel and Gambling Hall in Jean, Nevada has a 37,006 square foot casino gambling floor with 450 slot machines, seven table games, a sports and race book, restaurants, bar, meeting rooms and 811 room hotel. Amenities include in-room coffee makers, ironing boards, and hair dryers. The property opened in 1990 and is located approximately 30 miles from Las Vegas and 13 miles from the California state line. Primm Valley is the closest alternative gambling destination right on the border. It is a nice casino and a popular stop on the way to Las Vegas. Gold Strike is owned by JETT Gaming and Jean Ventures, who purchsed the property from MGM and were approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission on April 23, 2015.
