My husband and I just returned from this resort #40June 12-172011#41. Being our first time in Cancun we were nervous but enjoyed the trip! We thought this resort was really clean and most of the staff are eager to assist you. The beach is great! We enjoyed all of the dining choices but the Old Barn was our favorite. The quotmini-bar in the rooms consist of an ice bucket and 2 bottles of water...btw~ Also says there are coffee/tea makers in the room...not so. We would probably stay here again but given all of the choices in Cancun..might also try another resort.

I have to say, I did have some reservations about booking at the Golden Parnassus. I read ALOT of reviews saying that they overbooked and then bumped you to their sister hotel. Upon arriving, we walked into a beautiful lobby. We were given a seat and a welcome drink right away. And then those dreaded words "I can only find one of your reservations" (We had booked two rooms!) Now.. a pit in my stomach! HOWEVER, after a few minutes, she came back to us and said that the hotel was completely booked for the rooms that we had reserved (we booked standard lagoon view rooms--the cheapest). SO, she said that she would upgrade both rooms to ocean front for the night but we would have to come back down in the morning and check in to our lagoon view rooms.! SCORE!! Well... needless to say... the next day came and went and they let us stay in our ocean front rooms AT NO ADDITIONAL COST!! AWESOME!! The ONLY TINY TINY negative thing about the entire stay/resort is that the lighting in the rooms are pretty much non-existent... But really open your curtains and use the amazing sunshine to light your room! The resort itself was beautiful. The food was tasty (I liked the Old Barn the best). The drinks WERE very tasty! I tried SOOOO many different tropical drinks! I really like the "Who's your daddy!" and "Miami Vice". Definatley need to try these!!! The staff was WONDERFUL. They were all so nice and treated you like family! I could say soo much more about this resort but am running out of room. I will absolutely be going back again next year!

In april of 2010 my girlfriend and I visited canaun we had a wonderful time the staff food and the property as a whole was terriffic. Miiriam and I partied so hard that we miss most of the night life activity however we had a share of good clean fun. The only draw back was the worry some time share people located in the lobby everyday she asked and stared to the point I had to use my chicago roots to politely final answer say NO!!!! The golden parnassus is a must visit will return in december 10 as chirstmas present for my wonderful girlfriend.

My only complaint is that the drinks were watered down. Also I wanted to try some authentic Mexican food but there was really none except at the steak house. Good food with a ton of variety. The steak house had the best drinks! I liked the fact that we had access/shuttle to the Great Parnasus as well. That doubled the food option and we enjoyed the French style restaurant there. The rooms were clean and bright. Wish there were a club or party scene on the resort. I love the forklore dancers. View from the hotel is breath taking...right on the beach. Not far at all from the airport. I will be back.

We have stayed at the Golden Parnassus 3 times and have already booked our 4th trip. We love the fact that you dont need reservations at any of the restaurants. We like that it is a smaller hotel you get to know the friendly staff and they remember what you drink. It is also easy to meet other guests with lots of returning for many years. The food has always been great and love the quick room service. The rooms are spacious have stayed in the Club Room which is well worth the extra money. We also love the fact that it is adults only no children running around. You can take the van over to the Great Parnassus if you want a change of venue. We have tried their buffet it was very good....but too many kids for us.
