It was our first time to Cancun. The experience was amazing. The hotel focuses greatly on service. They are always happy, friendly, and most go out of their way to help you. They have a kids club that my five year old really enjoyed. They had many activities for him, took care of him very well, and were very attentive. It allowed my husband and I to relax on there beach beds and have some drinks :) The buffet food is fresh for the most part. Every day they have a variety of good dining. From meat cuts, scallops, mussels, tuna, fish, etc. The waiters were always very attentive. We were impressed with the steakhouse look and decided to try it out the first night. The plate presentation was amazing but the taste was terrible. Maria's a Mexican restaurant was the only one you needed a reservation for and they only had very late reservation for the first nights and we got a decent time reservation our last night. Either way try to be flexible and perhaps take the late reservations after all you are in vacation and can sleep in and it lightly before it. The food there was really good. The main bar was located in the lobby area and was the main late night attraction. The beer was not cold and the drinks were decent. They made whatever you wanted (but no food).Most restaurants are closed between 5pm-6pm and then close at 11pm. There is a 24hr snack area but it is on the other side of the hotel. But you are allowed one room service a day. The beach area was expectacular! We would definitely go back :)

Traveled there the last two Decembers for a seven day stay. The facility exceeded our expectations. Be sure to negotiate an upgrade that includes being able to go to the four restaurants at the sister hotel next door #40Gran Caribe Royale#41. The upgraded rooms and amenities are well worth the money. The entertainment staff #40especially Andrea#41 has been outstanding both visits even remembering us from the previous visit. Be sure to eat lunch and/or dinner at the poolside bar restaurant. Understand this hotel is not what I would determine to be on the upper end of the scale but I would rate it to be an outstanding value in the upper middle class.

Service was excellent. Wish we would have known about spring break. Tiny bit crazy but great people watching. Huge undertoe at beach. Not enough lounge chairs around pool area. We asked for a late check out and they did give us one :) Loved the huge hammick on our large deck. Over all great place to spend time in Cancun.

I am satisfy with this hotel, I had all inclusive package, a junior ocean front suite with balcony, room is clean, employees there are very nice & helpful. The foods are soso, could be better. Overall, it is still good, I will consider stay in this hotel again next time
