i was completely satisfied with the Amrath Hotel. My family of three stayed 1 week in Amsterdam. The proximity to practically everything you need or want was within walking distance of the hotel. From the train station, the flower market, Red Light district, museums, and all the restaurants you could imagine, ALL within walking distance, some by a few miles but still walkable. The Hotel itself was unique. Very 1920's style. Lots of detail everywhere you look. From marble to wrought iron...and a gothic exterior...one of the many historical buildings in Amsterdam. Everyone would walk by and take pictures. My son loved the fact that the wet bar in the rooms were free and restocked every day. The rooms were a nice size as so were the "bathrooms". Staff VERY friendly and helpful! I will return to this hotel in the future!

We stayed 4 nights August 2-6. The beds were so comfortable, we slept late everyday. And enjoyed free coffee and juice/water from the minibar, all complementary. It was really convenient not having to buy and bring back drinks to the room everyday. The Wellness Centre was great. Enjoyed a 30 minute 'welcome' massage for * euros and a foot massage as well. Swimming under the stars was lovely. The whirlpool was a little cool for my liking but the sauna gorgeous and all very clean. We had a bit of a problem with a sink that wasn't draining properly, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back there again. Close to everything. The Canal Bus described the Amrath as an upscale 'fashionable hotel' and I couldn't agree more.

I did not really take advantage of this hotel, becuase my trip was so short. The time I did spend in the hotel & the few staff members I was in contact with were all amazing. I truly did not need much else becuase the room had everything I needed. The room I had, had an amazing view and the room was so compfotable & had all I needed to make my trip amazing. The bathroom was so clean and big & I enjoyed a relaxing bath each night. I highly recomend the Grand Hotel Amrath Amsterdam & hope I get to return soon!

This is going to be our hotel in Amsterdam - we stayed 4 nights April 13-17 and loved the hotel. FREE mini bar and in walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Staff was nice but not intrusive. Room was small but the bathroom was big and clean and they had a Nespresso machine in the room. Good restaurants nearby. Beautiful hotel, very old but nice. Free internet access. Very funky and fun. The bed was wonderful, very comfy and we slept very well there. Nice bar downstairs, didn't eat in the restaurant, but it looked nice.
