  This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. We cam into this hotel late at night, the staff was so welcoming even at such a late hour. They had cookies too. The beds were so comfy and fluffy and the atmosphere was just adorable The room was a bit small for 4 people, but workable. At the light of day we awoke to being nestled into the mountains and the history and charm of this hotel really shined. I highly recommend this as a must see. I could spend a couple days there just looking at all of the antiques, pictures and relics that are all thru this adorable hotel. Loved the lamas wandering around too. A must see.

  Great staff / hospitality. Excellent job on the decor, half hotel half museum. Great location in the mountains - as one respondant mentioned, be sure to request a room facing the the interstate and not the parking lot if you want the view. Rooms could use a little TLC given the nightly rate being charged. TVs a little dated and smallish for a Hampton hotel.Also beware pool is outdoors and seasonal.

  Great staff / hospitality. Excellent job on the decor, half hotel half museum. Great location in the mountains - as one respondant mentioned, be sure to request a room facing the the interstate and not the parking lot if you want the view.   Overall the Country Inn at Valdosta, GA was superb. It was quiet, restful and a the bed was comfortable and very nice. The whirpool is right in the bed area though and has no privacy screen. That was a bit odd to us. I suggest some type of glass block privacy around it to improve it.
