The lobby was small and dreary but the rooms adequate. Unfortunately, the street noise (near Madison Sqare garden) was too loud and the manager tried to change rooms but a different location did not seem to decrease the noise volume. We changed hotels and was told would be refunded but has not yet been processed. On a brighter note, if you do not mind noise and want to be next to Madison Square Garden this may be the hotel for you especially in terms of $$ in NYC. THe rooms were small but clean.

This Hampton Inn iis located in the center of everything...easy access to China Town/ Little Italy or the Theater Area in Times Square. The hotel is what you would expect from a Hampton Inn... the rooms are narrow and the breakfast is good. They provided different kinds of eggs each day, along with another hot item (ham or french toast sticks) and cut up fresh fruit along with other carb items. You can't complain about any of it, since it is a Hampton Inn. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. After all, it is NYC and a hotel room is simply a place to sleep. The staff were most helpful all the time. I would definitely stay there again.

ABSOLUTELY GREAT EXPERIENCE. ROOM WAS READY AT 9:00 A.M. FRIENDLY STAFF, VERY HELPFUL. VERY CLEAN ROOM, GREAT BREAKFAST. HOT COFFEE AVAILABLE ALL DAY. THE BEST PART OF OUR STAY WAS THE BELL HOP. DREW US MAPS, GAVE US VERY HELPFUL TIPS, VERY PLEASANT. MAKE SURE AND ASK TO ARRANGE CAR TO AIRPORT, VERY REASONABLE FLAT RATE (MUCH CHEAPER THAN CAB RIDE). GREAT LOCATION ON SIDE STREET, GREAT RESTAURANT 1 1/2 BLOCKS AWAY. WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN FOR SURE. ROOM WAS SMALL BUT THIS WAS NOT UNEXPECTED.

Our overall experience at this hotel was fantastic! We stayed here for 10 days. Beds were very comfortable. We had full control of our air condtioning. We kept it at 65 degrees F. However, our room was small, elevators "sometimes" slow and no real excercise room. But, the staff were great. They helped us out a lot by guiding us to numerous places throughout the city. They gave us small cards with maps of sites with discounts. This hotel is fairly close to Macys, a 99 cent grocery store and subways, etc. Free breakfast was good, we always showed up early at 7AM. If we visit NYC in the future, we'll be staying at this place again.
