This hotel was absolutely wonderful beginning with the shuttle driver who picked us up at the airport. The staff was very friendly, and the room was amazing. The hotel was clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. I stayed at this hotel before getting on a cruise, and stayed at another hotel downtown after we returned from the cruise. I paid significantly more at another property with a higher star rating, but wish we would have just gone back to this Hampton. The hotel room had very comfortable beds with wonderful down comforters. They had a lovely continental breakfast buffet with more choices than you would expect. I would absolutely stay here again. It was very near restaurants, a mall and other conveniences like a convenience store. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful trees and bushes, you can barely see it from the road. I have no idea why this is only a 2.5 star property, it should be higher.

I reserved and received a ""non-smoking"" room. Unlike other chains, where smoking/non-smoking rooms are segregated by floor or other physical separation, my room was adjacent to smoking rooms. Inadequate door seals, or poorly designed ventilation resulted in the feeling of having smoked a pack of cigarettes by morning. Complaint to management did not result in any corrective action or bill adjustment, despite Hampton's ""100% Satisfaction"" policy.
