  I have just returned from a fabulous trip to a magical place called ""Hidden Pond"", Kennebunk, Maine. The location was quiet, elegant, peaceful and beautiful. The ""cottages"" (there are 14 spectacular cottages all done in a different decor) were warm and inviting. I arrived at the lodge to register and found the young lady very helpful and accommodating. She accompanied me to my ""cottage"" and shortly after I arrived, she returned with a ""welcome basket"" filled with cheese, fruit , crackers and wine. She was very helpful and explained to me all about the cottage and the beautiful surrounding area. In the early am, the next morning, a ""welcome breakfast basket"" was delivered to my porch. This was an unbelievable getaway and I pray I will have the opportunity to once again be ""blown away"" by this magical ""hide-away"" nestled in the woods. Sally H.

  I recently had the very pleasant experience of spending time at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport Maine. The 14 cottages are beyond description - each has been decorated by a different designer and all are different. The setting is reminiscent of time past, with these unassuming cottages set back in a wooded area; all have a large screened-in front porch, complete kitchen, gas fireplace, and more. The staff did everything to make up feel ""at home"", with a welcoming basket of wine, cheese & crackers upon arrival, fresh muffins, Danish pastry, juice, delivered to our door in the morning, (still warm from the oven) and a travelling good-bye package when we left. Behind the lodge is a separate exercise building with every imaginable equiipment one could desire. There is also a lovely swimming pool and a large cabana where one could go for a massage. All in all, a very enjoyable experience!
