Our stay during a November 2010, autumn afternoon was a comfy and a cost efficent surprise. I often have a select and few friends visit from near by cities and one to two from out of state. To extent the hosptality of the easy pace environment as opposed to the hustle ad bustle of their daily living, is one of my main priorities. Proof is in the pudding, see what is going on around the location. Being a native of Chula Vista, I pride myself on knowlegeable and cost efficient places. So streaching the mighty dollar and finding the most reasonable accommodation for friends who live busily, is key. The last stay was peaceful and serene. We had a specious room, attentive maid service, and the wonders of comfort from home. This motel is centralized in the melting pot of old Chula Vista, with easy access to freeways, resturants, shopping, and the Marina. Happily, I am planning to upgrade my next stay, to a jaquzzi room. Unique in itself, this jaquzzi room fits into the best itinerary for the upcomming Valentine's Day, a special addition of scented candles, dinner at the Marina's local Fish Grotto and a perfect evening stroll to top off a fabulous pocket saver and day of R and R is on our agenda. Thanks to the friendly staff and motels perks, I have decided upon some future travel arrangements. Needless to say, my friends and I will be returning for a stay early this year. I recommend this quote, " Home away from home." I would extend a 4 star rating. Let me know what you think, if you happen to visit the upscale jaquzzi rooms before we do. . .

We booked this hotel because of the price and 3 star rating. We booked for two nights. This place is nowhere near a 3 star rating. I can see a 1 for 1 1/2 star, but it is not even close to a 2 star rating. The wallpaper was peeling off, there were urine stains on the floor around the toilet, and the towels were what a normal person would use for rags. The bed was just as bad, as you can feel the springs digging into your back. Needless to say, we had to check out the following day-we would have left the first night, but we were too tired after a 14 hour drive. Do not go here, if you're expecting something decent. You would be extremely disappointed. By the way, continental breakfast is donuts, make it yourself waffles, and coffee. That is it. Travel Agency made it right, and booked us in a legitimate 3 star hotel, which we were happy with.
