We arrived on a very frigid day and the lobby was nice and warm. We arrived early and they offered to store our bags until our room was ready. They readied the room early for us. The room was roomy. My only complaints were no refridge or microwave or flat screen HD tv in the room even though there was clearly enough room to even put a full size refridge in there. Even though we were on the seventh floor, you could still hear a lot of the street noise. A lot of things in walking distance. The Waterfront was near, the Union Oyster House can take you back in time with it's old world setting, The indoor/outdoor market there was very nice if you like those things. There's a Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts in every block, so if coffee's your vice, go at it. Hotel staff was very friendly. I would pick that location if I wanted to go back to Boston again. Also the TD Boston Garden was only 5 blocks away, easly within walking distance.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn at Beacon Hill three times. It is within walking distance of the subway, downtown Boston, the Freedom Trail, a movie theater and the TD Garden. The hotel offers a clean, quiet, and safe stay. Never had a problem at this great hotel. Too, a pharmacy, grocery store, and rental car are next door.

This hotel is a good value. It was clean and the bathroom was very good. The location is excellent, it is an easy walk to the Charles/MGH red line stop and walking distance to amenities in central Boston and Beacon Hill. The furnishings in the room were in good condition, but nothing special. The bedding was good. I did notice that it seemed cold in the room (despite the fact that there was a thermostat and the heat was working). A nice plus is the Whole Foods market one block away. There is a Starbucks and Finagle within one block. It would be even better if the rooms had a flat screen TV and a mini fridge, but those are minor faults.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time in Boston and I actually attribute most of that to the location of this hotel. First of all, for those who are cheap, there is a Whole Foods Market across the street. The subway is only a few blocks away and one or two stops from a main artery. Something to note though, the toilets are scary loud. You will see. The gal at the front desk suggested that we go to an Italian place down the street. The food, service, and atmosphere was perfect for two southerners who just landed in the middle of winter.
