I do not recommend this hotel. No staff on duty after 8:30 PM, no daily room servicing, maid service, or WIFI. WIRED internet an extra charge. Doors sticking and difficult to open, no place other than the bed to set your suitcase to unpack/pack. Arrival after hours requires a trip to another hotel gate to pick up a package wit a room key, during daylight ours you must go to ANOTHER HOTEL to find the actual front desk staff. Arrival at the hotel area is uncontrolled since the gate opens automatically however, you need your room key to EXIT the hotel area...unbelievable. Only one trash can in the room. When I called requesting extra towels, I was told to pick some up from the pool area. When checking out and returning the key, the hotel clerk failed to give us the exit code necessary to open the exit gate, prompting a return trip when he did issue the code, he seemed amused that I had a return trip. Pay the extra money and stay next door at the Marriott.

Almost everything that you need is at the resort. There are multiple restaurants, tennis courts and pools on the property. Though they are pricey, there is even a spa and a Jack Nicklaus golf course. It is located six miles away from Panama City Beach and six miles away from downtown Panama City, where there are some great local seafood restaurants. The room that I stayed in was located in the golf villa. It was clean and comfortable. However, the room did not have a refrigerator, alarm clock or garbage can. I find having a refrigerator in my room to be a convenience, but you can always call the front desk for a wake-up call or garbage bag. Rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis; instead, they are cleaned after you check-out. If you are there for multiple days, you can pay $5 a day to swap out your towels for clean ones. While I was pleased with the room and the resort and the price that I paid, I did not fully appreciate the resort until I saw the other hotels in the area. Compared to the other hotels in the area, this is a 10-star resort.

This hotel was VERY nice. The friendly service desk staff began our stay with a very warm welcome to Panama City Beach and was extra nice after knowing that we'd driven 5 hours from GA and had no idea where to go/how to get there and quickly gave us a map, brochure w/ coupons, and a briefing of nice places to go. My boyfriend and I aready knew we would arrive a little bit earlier than check-in time (4:00) but we were overly shocked to find out that Panama City is 1 hour behind our time!! But our friendly service desk staff relieved our worries by letting us check-in 3 hours early! We got a couple's massage at the Serenity Spa and were in a state of euphoria the entire time! The villa that we stayed in was more than worth the money we spent , in my opinion, because of the state of the art kitchen well equipped with every single appliance you can think of. I am not a cooker but with all of the appliances readily available and my boyfriend on my back I broke down and cooked...... breakfast ;o) Overall, it was a GREAT, GREAT, GREAT experience and we will most DEFINITELY be going back!
