The hotel was nice and clean. It was great that it is right on the beach. I was disappointed that there was not a free breakfast offered. Also, I paid a little more to have a room with a 'side' view of the beach--NOT WORTH IT!! The outside of the window was very water-spotted and so our view was not all that great. And a tree was right in front of our window, blocking half of the view. This should not cost extra.

First room we got the entire floor smelled like cigarette smoke. The staff was very nice and switched us immediately. Too much $$ for the room. A/C didnt really work and the hotel was messy. Good location right on the beach. Had a nice outside bar but the pool area is way too small for the size of the hotel and even though they give you wristbands so they can identify the guests they didnt enforce it. Lots of people from other hotels, condos walking through the pool area and parking lot. Me and the two kids decided to head down to the beach around 5pm and went to grab one of the hotel lounge chairs and a young kid who "worked" there said that we had to rent them and it would be $* a day and even though there was one hour left we would have to pay the $* and turn them in at 6pm. We said no thanks. We then watched numerous other young girls who didnt pay and some who werent staying there grab the chairs and he didnt say a word. Not good since the adults are the one's paying the hotel bill. Guess we werent young and busty enough. If you are paying that much for a room and have a wrist band they shoudl allow you to use the lounge chairs for free or not be so obvious. Nothign special here other than location and the outside bar. You are better off renting a condo.......

Spent a long weekend with my spouse and child. Overall had a good experience and would stay again. Staff was courteous and helpful. While room decor was older I have stayed in far worse. Would be helpful if they were able to replace mattresses, or at least rotate them once in a while. Other reviews regarding the restaurant were dead on regarding the dining. We had an awful dining experience (food came out in waves and not everyone together, forgot one order completely, then rushed it out undercooked, what we did get out had no flavor whatsoever. I ordered the country fried steak and it tasted like hospital food). There are far better spots to eat in the area for a better value. Weekend rates are a little pricey, but you are paying for the convenience of being on the beach. Have beach chairs and equipment for rent but are overpriced. You can drive back to the store and pick ones up for a fraction of the cost.
