Smoker/Non Smoker
01/06/2008Overall, i rated this hotel as "good." the only thing that kept me from rating it better was that i inadvertantly book a smokers room becuase i misunderstood ...
Overall, I rated this hotel as "good." The only thing that kept me from rating it better was that I inadvertantly book a smokers room becuase I misunderstood the description ( I thought it read "smoker non, refundable" but actually it was "smoker, nonrefundable"). I was unable to switch to a nonsmoking room because they did not have a nonsmoking availabe in the room I had reserved, but did not give me the option to go with a nonsmoking room, paying the difference in price, which I would have gladly done.
I was given a simple, sorry, you room was prepaid on the travel website and the nonsmoking rooms we have aren't comparable to what you booked.
OKAY.
The smell of smoke in the room we slept in was intense. But I have to accept responsiblity for it because it was my mistake booking the room.
Everything else was good. -

Location is good. Rooms were OK but not great. The hallway outside my non-smoking room smelled like the Queen Mary smokestack. The pool is tiny and COLD. The staff said they had turned on the heater earlier but we came back to the pool 4 hours later and it was still ice cold. The Spa was non functional
