  We checked in and found ants in our first room (on the second floor). They moved us to another room (as I had prepaid the room through Travelocity and would not refund). The carpet was stained and we met one of the maids in the room who went to make sure no ants were in the second room. It smelled of ant spray. The laundry facilities area were dirty. The washer leaked. The staff was not very helpful. They seemed bothered to help us. Made fun of me that the ants must have been flying ants to be on the second floor. I have always had good luck at Holiday Inn Express hotels, but this experience changed my mind. I do not feel I can count on the quality any more.
