I have stayed at this hotel 4 times and do not understand the negatives written by others..... the location is perfect for The Tabernacle, Aquarium, Ted Turners restaurant and many other attractions. The staff has always been extremely courteous, the breakfast is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable. As for parking, well, I do not know anyplace with free parking. We walk to every thing and have never felt unsafe. Enjoy life, don't let one little incident ruin your trip. It's a great small hotel, clean, safe and convenient.

We were in town for a concert and decided to stay in downtown so we could explore before and after. We had to pay for parking, which is to be expected in the downtown area. The parking lot had cameras all over the place which made us more comfortable leaving our car there. Check-in was quick and very smooth. We were provided with a map of the city along with a list of restaurants nearby. When we arrived at our room, there was a box of food sitting in our room. The bathroom hadn't been stocked with basic toiletry products like you would normally see at the hotel. It seemed like the cleaning staff forgot to finish our room. It wasn't really a big deal because the rest of the room was clean. The room was a perfect size for 2 people and very quiet. When we arrived back at the hotel later that night, we decided we wanted take-out. The lady at the front desk provided us with several menus and was very friendly. Overall, our stay was great and we would definitely stay here again.

My stay in this Hampton was wonderful. The staff was very courteous and the room was very clean. The decor is warm and inviting. My only comment is that the rooms were a bit small, but that is to be expected for a downtown hotel.

We came here mainly because of the advertised free parking. It tourns out this was apparently "false advertising" - they told us parking was 15$- which we were willing to pay. We came Friday night. We're checking out today (Sunday) and this morning there is a bill waiting for us " 45$ for parking". We feel betrayed and are not willing to pay for this. Also the wireless internet is very dissapointing. The cleaning lady came to clean the room at 4pm when we were just returning from sightseeing. I would never stay here again!!!!!!

Hotel sits on the corner of a very busy downtown intersection. Our first hour there, we watched two police take down a man outside. You must have a security card to enter the building after 11 p.m. We honestly felt safer in NYC than we did here. But the free breakfast was nice.
