I booked the room on travelocity and I was greatly surprised that my room had a king size bed, the room itself was much better than expected and the breakfast bar was wonderful everything hot that should be hot and cold cold and the selection was large I will be staying there again a few more times this year I appreciate Travel AGENCY and Holiday Inn Express for the great deal they both gave me

This hotel had very recently undergone a makeover/update so it was beautiful and new looking. Breakfast was very good. Only 2 complaints - our room had a bad odor maybe old smoke. It had been redecorated but the carpet had not been changed and was stained. I think that's where the smell came from. The pool area was smelly and there was so much water on the floor it was unsafe to walk on. It looked like something had overflowed.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Onalaska for a mix of Business and Leisure travel and was not only satisfied, I was amazed at the standards of this particular hotel. As a professional traveller, staying at every hotel chain throughout the World I know what to expect from each hotel chain. Having stayed 4 nights in the hotel I got to use most of the facilities and meet most of the staff. Not only the free breakfast area was larger than most, but the indoor pool area is huge, with a hot tub and fitness center too. You are not close to the highway so there is no highway noise, and with a handful of restaurants within walking distance you cannot go wrong - My favorite being the TGI Fridays across the street is an easy walk - and this hotel has the added feature of room service delivery from Fridays ! There is a Walmart supercenter down the street, a mall, shopping plazas, all within walking distance. Once at this hotel you do not need your car again to go find a place to eat or find something for the kids to do. The staff were all willing to point me in the right direction when i did need to go - and even give me ideas on where to visit for the little day trips with the kids. Rooms are bigger than most, clean, comfortable, and i had zero complaints with the room, the staff, and the property amenities - my 4 night stay was much better than i thought and there is so much more to do than even imagined in the area. If you are in the area you cannot go wrong with this hotel, this location, or things to do.

My advance purchase room was supposed to be a double queen, but was assigned a king room. Staff was very friendly and quick to rectify the situation since the three of us wouldn't fit in the king room. The beds were very comfortable. If you stay here, request a room that is farther down the hall from the lobby and pool. Kids were running all up and down the halls up to 2:00am, incoming guests and their vehicles could be heard all night long and woke us up several times. The stairs to the second floor were right next to our room, so we heard people going up and down them all night as well. In general, however, this was a very convenient and clean hotel, with comfortable beds, a great hot breakfast and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff at the front desk. I will stay again, but would specify a room farther down the hall and/or on a higher floor to avoid all of the lobby/breakfast traffic.
