I stayed at this Hotel over the past weekend. My travels often bring me to Fresno and I have stayed at many hotels in Fresno and this is by far the newest and nicest Hotel in the city. The rooms are big with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms are not huge but they are fine. Parking is easy and secure and the staff is very friendly, I was checked in by a young man, he was friendly and helpful. I checked out the pool and fitness area and they look very nice, however I did not have a chance to use them. This is my new choice for a hotel in Fresno, I wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn there in Downtown Fresno just a while ago and had an absolutely wonderful stay! Everything from the spacious lobby to the EXTREMELY comfortable beds met my satisfaction. The staff at the Front Desk was wonderful and the ladies in the restaurant were so friendly and attentive. The rooms were also very clean and full of light. As I drove up to the hotel I saw that at night it is lit up with a brilliant green light, this made the hotel very easy to see from even down the street. As I was in town for business with the county and city of Fresno, this hotel was centrally located and served as a great place that was definitely walking distance to the places that I needed to be at. Way to go Holiday Inn Staff! You certainly made my stay the best in a very long time. Thank you!

Great underground parking; Well-appointed rooms; nice ebonized wood furniture- green/mint, modern decor; berber carpet; flat panel t.v.. If the bathroom was larger...the room would have been perfect. My boyfriend would have preferred a working balcony. Cool, green, mood lighting on faux balcony at night. We explored a bit and happened upon the Sky Room. Cool top floor lounge, with a stage - if they have jazz, or any entertainment there at nights, this is a definite bonus. I loved the hotel. My boyfriend liked it....but he is like that. We ordered room service - the food was delivered promptly, reasonably priced (unheard of for a hotel) - but there was puffery in the menu (i.e., stuffed french toast was NOT stuffed. It was individual pieces with sour cream spread-tee hee), Coffee was acceptable. The only down I saw was the fact that we definitely woke up with bites. Perhaps fleas from smuggled in purse puppy??? And the $12.00 movie is not the move. We will stay there again - it was fun....but we bring the fun wherever we go.

The HI in downtown Fresno is a refurbed older building that provides great rooms from the standpoint of everything is new, the beds are great, the wide flat panel TV is sweet, and the appointments, linens, towels, etc. are very nice. A few details were missed. The windows are the same ones from when the building was new, letting in much noise and heat during the summer. The pipes in the building are old and yellow water from the rusting comes out when you first turn on the water. The elevators have signage to wrong locations for the fitness facilities. The pool is still awaiting permitting approval to be refurbed and usable. The parking is underground and shared with the casino next door. Overall not a bad hotel but the area is not safe for after hours exploration. In a few months, maybe the hotel will be up to speed and ready for another review.
