We asked if we could check in an hour early and they wanted to charge us $* because we had booked with travel agency They said the same when we requested a late check out. The air conditioner did not work because it was cold outside which meant the room was warm and a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. We went out for dinner and wanted to get a drink in the lobby bar at 11:30 at night when we returned. The bar was already closed. Overall the hotel was decent. If we would have stayed in the room all day instead of venturing out it would have been disappointing for a crown plaza.

My mother loved our room, because she could watch planes taking off and landing through the picture window. The soundproofing was amazingly good, considering how close it is to the airport - noise was simply not an issue. I was irritated by the insistence of the staff on having the lobby television loudly broadcasting Fox, which happened to be showing Bill O'Reilly or some other very inflammatory blowhard when we first arrived, which of course caused my blood pressure to instantly skyrocket. I complained, & the desk clerk and I discovered that we hated each other, which was inconvenient. We glared at each other venomously whenever our paths crossed during the rest of our stay.

Booked this hotel on travel agency. Booked 2 rooms with 2 double beds in each room. Made a seperate request for 2 double beds. When we arrived was told by the hotel that our rooms had one doouble bed with a pull-out couch. Hotel told us that we were not high enough priority to get the doubles. They had been reserved by others. Called travle agency who confirmed what the hotel said. My recommendation is if you really need 2 beds--either go else-where or book seperately from this site. (It does say based on hotel availability) One would think once a reservation was made that room would be removed from availability. Apparently we got the left-overs or what they could not book. Pull-out couch Very uncomfortable.!

I used to live in the Twin Cities area and I have been back several times now, trying out different hotels in the Eagan area each time. This was my first stay at the Crowne Plaza Eagan and I absolutely loved it. I will always return to this hotel from now on. The room was very clean and since I opted for the executive level, which was well worth the few extra dollars, I also enjoyed a spacious room with plenty of natural light, large windows. The hotel is conveniently located right off I494 and literally minutes away from the airport. Even for people who don't know the area I would say that it is easy to find one's way into the cities, the mall etc. The staff was helpful and friendly. the only thing I personally would prefer would be a pool that is actually suitable for lap swimming (it is rather round). The noise of the planes flying directly over the hotel was a concern at first but even though I was up on the fifth floor (out of 6) they never bothered me.
