I wasn't expecting much for a cheap room in NYC but It was spacious and everything I could have asked for. Great location for my trips needs and very convenient to get a cab. Breakfast at the Gotham Lounge was a bit pricey (not sure if that was NYC pricing or Hotel pricing) but with my rooms $20 coupon breakfast for 2 was $*. I would stay again, I had no complaints.

While having a number of mixed reviews the Holiday Inn Midtown fit the bill as a lower cost acceptable stay. My room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. At a rate of under $* this is a great low priced alternative within the sea of places to stay in midtown. Parking is adjacent and discounted for overnight guests. I would stay here again.

This hotel is in a great part of town; close to restaurants, not too far from downtown, hotel is very good condition compared to most. If you planning to visit new york and explore the city, this is definitely a great place for you to stay. The hotel staff took a bit long to get me some clean towels... But who cares! You are on new York, get out and see the city... See a Broadway show... Without a doubt stay here... Its really a good clean and well kept hotel. Enjoy.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn on 57th St. It was my first trip to New York, so I was concerned about the Manhattan hotel reviews I had previously read. The Holiday Inn has a great location- walking distance from the theater district, Central Park, and Times Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful with advice, or even hailing a cab. There's also a rooftop pool, which I did not get to visit because there was snow EVERYwhere. Truly a very nice hotel, especially for the price. Yes, there is some "wear and tear" in the rooms, but the rooms are also a very nice size and my room had a lovely view. Don't waste your time on breakfast room service, however. That was not a good experience. They forgot my cutlery and I had to wait almost twenty minutes for a set.

The hotel for the price paid ($*) was actually a great deal in NYC. The room was unbelievably spacious for NYC hotel rooms. Worn but clean. Internet was free but slow and very hard to get on. The maid staff was very efficient. The front desk staff was not very helpful when when we got snowed in and our flights cancelled. We wanted to extend our stay, they had the availability, but wanted to charge me almost twice what I had been paying the last six days. They suggested I go on line and play the "game" with Hotels.com or Priceline.com. I did and found an incredible deal with a 4 star hotel in Times Square for $* a night. They lost the additional business but I won in the long run. Yes, I would consider staying there again. A little off the Times Square beat and path but manageable. We walked to all of our shows and lots of great little restaurants around the corner on Ninth Ave.
