This is an older place, but I have stayed in some real dives and this was not a dive. The room was pretty small, but the TV was at least 27 inches and came with a mini fridge and microwave. The wireless internet had an intermittent connection problem, but they mentioned that when we checked in. Frustrating, but technology doesn't always work out. The location is great if you want to do the Lincoln sites. Pretty well situated and the price was right. I used Travel online's reviews to make this reservation and I'm glad I did. They also have a pool, but we came in mid May so it wasn't filled yet. Also, it's a block away from a CVS pharmacy, so there's a convenient place to get almost anything you might need. If you're fastidious about your rooms, this might not be the place for you, but it's a good deal and has nice amenities.

This is an excellent hotel for the traveler on a budget. The hotel is centrally located near the capital close to historical destinations. The amenities offered are great for the budget rate: the room in which I stayed was large and comfortable with two cushioned chairs and an ottoman (older but comfortable). The room was equipped with a refrig and microwave plus an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. The bed was clean and comfortable. (The linens and towels were older but clean -- the new management seems to be making improvements each time I stay here.) The hotel offers a nice cont. breakfast in a comfortable lobby setting with a breakfast nook. There is free WIFI and the hotel also makes available an internet-connected desktop computer in the lobby for guest use. There is a small but well stocked exercise room, a nice outdoor pool, and a meeting room. The location is close to the capital with occasional streetside foot traffic but access to the Hotel's entryways is controlled with your room keycard. I would highly recommend this hotel for the budget minded traveller! It is quite delightful for the price.

Having waited until the last moment to plan this trip to visit the Lincoln sites, most of the nicer hotel chains my wife and I stay at were booked. We were not disappointed. Homestyle suites are a very nice facility and a MAJOR value for the cost. The outside is nice red brick well landscaped and clean. We got a king size bed and room for $65. It was very clean and neat, furnishings were nice and in good condition. Amenders included the added essentials, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, iron and board, ice-pop-snack machines, interior entrance close to exit doors. Continental breakfast was typical, with a verity of fruit, cereals, waffles, pastry, and juices. The staff was very nice and friendly. In addition, it is located near the heart of downtown and all the Lincoln attractions, about 6 blocks due north of the Capital Building making it easy to find. The Lincoln Museum/Library, old capital building, and Depot is about 4 blocks, the Lincoln Home is about 10 blocks and the Lincoln Tomb is about a mile the other direction. So Homestyle is in the middle of the sites, other hotel chains were about 4 miles away close to the highways. We highly recommend Home-style Suites just for the amenities it offers and location. The cost for rooms is just a major added plus. We would stay here again and highly recommend them. Our stay was Memorial Day Weekend 2008. For reference my wife and I usually stay in Holiday Inn/Hampton Inn level hotels, these units are at that level. For business I typically stay in Embassy and Hilton which of course is another level.
