  We found this to be a quiet, well-maintained hotel that has the charm of an older hotel, even though it is not luxurious by any measure. Very comfortable bed made for a good night's sleep, well air-conditioned and little street noise. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the rate is very reasonable. Best feature -- you can walk to several restaurants, which means you can have a bottle of wine and an aperitif without driving back and ending in a ditch. The desk clerk recommended Elixir, about a 3 minute walk, and it was a good choice. Less than Boston prices, great staff, good wine selection, and the dinner was excellent.
