The room was comfortable but spartan. I imagine part of that is due to the climate - vinyl floors stand up better to the humidity. There were other hotels in the area that I would check out before deciding to stay at Hotel Coastal Inn again, but for the price it was a good deal. The free breakfast was a nice touch - American style scrambled eggs and Panamanian style pastries and breakfast meat. The lunch/dinner menu was not very exciting, but the location allows for cheap taxi rides to a variety of restaurants - check the internet. See comments under Tips for activities/

Affirdable, clean, TOURIST-class facility. Convenient cab ride to most business + tourist destinations; luckily cabs are very inexpensive. Safe daytime neighborhood but would not walk around at night. Room furnishings are ok but AC system is noisy. Hotel bar/restaurant is good; including breakfast. Very popular with European package tours. Would pay more for slightly better facilities.

This was a well located, clean hotel. Room was large with two queen beds, big TV. The food was good. Front desk and * were very helpful and friendly. The travel desk in the lobby was had several trips available....used them twice. Clean pool and area on the roof was a good place to sit and see the city. Would return.
