  Hotel is clean - a former girls school - with all night desk just ten minutes walk from Pigalle and convenient to the Sacre Coer via Rome Metro Station. Ask for front room. Student and art district. Grocery next door. Windows are tall with clean plumbing and numerous bistros close by including a great Kashmiri restaurant just up the Rue with outdoor tables. Rates are the best for a layover or short touirst stay = Metro to CDG is about 20 Euros and cab ride 45E. Breakfast is convenient but continental and may not be worth it with three nearby restaurants offering American and UK breakfasts. Safe walk back from Moulin Rouge at 2am. Weth lit streets. Make sure you specify the Batignolles Hotel off Clichy and not the nearby Batignolles de Ville hotel. Not as good as the hotel in the Gare du Nord but less expensive and far less noisy. Best two star we've stayed in off the rive gauche.
