The hotel itself was very nice and well maintained. It is convenient to a lot around Sarasota. The staff is freindly, helpful, and down to earth. We felt very much at home for our two week stay and found absolutely nothing to fault in our stay. This hotel treats the staff well, and they in turn treat the guests well. Would stay again without hesitation.

On our recent trip to Sarasota we stayed at the Hyatt. In the past we have always stayed at the Ritz but this time wanted to stay somewhere different. Big mistake! The colors of the hotel and its furnishings are hideous, the toilet ran on and off all night and kept us up. Then we woke up to a sewer smell that was so bad that when valet brought the car we were advised to stay inside until the car arrived. I told the front desk attendant about the toilet and he said he would have it looked at and how do you want to pay for your valet service. What he should of said is we are so sorry, is there anything we can do? Next year...we will be spending the extra $* and staying at The Ritz!

staff that greeted us was terrible!! room was ok but had to debate with check in staff to get the room i paid for.It appeared they overbooked for at least that night. Everything was an extra charge!! No refrigerator, microwave and had to call and ask for coffee to be restocked twice!! Holiday inn express would have been a much better experience and a lot less costly!! I would not stay there again, not at $ * a night!! Do Not Recommend.

07/30/2009Everything about our stay at the hyatt was great. usually ready to go home after a few days, but this time wished we could have stayed longer.
