We stayed in a 2nd fl. Courtyard room across the street. No Microwave, No Frig., but a large room. pretty view from balcony. No elevator there. There is an elevator in the main building, which is where I'll stay after my surgery next time. restaurant is Expensive, so we found a couple of small places in this historic railroad district within walking distance. Thai restaurant around the corner, etc. Ask at the front desk how to get to the Omelette Express! Staff is very, very nice. Allergic to feather pillows/ no problem. three nice non-feather pillows were delivered. Need 2 more towels/ No problem. Our 2nd day we came back to our room and there was a fancy ice bucket with fruit and extra water bottles. just because. We had asked about where there might be some entertainment on a Monday night, and by the time we got back downstairs from checking out the sun deck on the 2nd fl. in the main building, the young lady at the front desk had two options for us, including kaoraoke down the street! We were able to get some soup to go, to bring up to our room around 9PM, at the cafe across the street. There's Monroe Hall on College Ave., not far away, if you're there on a night that they have dancing/lessons. Sunday nite(early) is Country/Western Night. Coddingtown Mall and Santa Rosa Plaza nearby. I would have rated them higher for the "Value" if they provided a frig. or a microwave, or if their on-premises restaurant was more affordable. or if they had a Spa. it's at least $100 a night! I will stay there again after my Surgery for a couple days before making a 6 hr. trip home. because they will help me to be comfortable.
