We've stayed there twice now! Even though it's further away from Sacramento, it's well worth the time it takes to get there. The staff are extremely friendly, and go way out of their way to be helpful... changing rooms, getting extra towels, coffee, finding a lost pair of flip-flops. But the absolutely best part is the made-to-order breakfast. Excellent! No other hotel I've stayed in does what they do. And the cook staff are over-the-top friendly, always smiling, carrying on conversations with you, and they cook a really good breakfast. French toast, pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, eggs however you like them, toast, bagels, biscuits, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice... you get the drift. Anyway, I'm sold. Any time I'm in Sacramento, or anywhere nearby for that matter, I will definitely be staying at the Hotel Sierra in Rancho Cordova.

We would DEFINITELY stay here again if we return to the Sacramento/Rancho Cordova area. Our family of 5 stayed here for two nights, tagging along with dad on a recent business trip. The location was very convenient--right off of Hwy 50 at Sunrise, though we heard absolutely no road noise in our room. A few of the rooms are L-shaped two-room suites (including ours--room *#41;, wherein the bedroom is cordoned off by a pocket door, with a separate living area and hide-a-bed couch in the other half of the room out front. The living room area included a small fridge and microwave, which is also helpful when eating out and traveling with children. We did not use the heated pool (it was in the low-40's outside), though it was fairly large and from our room it looked clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the free made-to-order hot breakfast was delicious and a great value for our family--your choices included french toast, pancakes, eggs any style with fixings, hash browns, sausage, bacon, toast/English Muffin/bagel, fresh fruit, juice and Starbucks coffee. Though we found the hotel on Travelocity, we booked our room directly through the hotel's own website -- www.hotel-sierra.com -- and got a GREAT pre-paid room rate...such a good rate, apparently, that even the front desk personnel commented on how low it was. We would DEFINITELY stay at Hotel Sierra Rancho Cordova again if we return to the area.

The staff is very friendly. The dine-in breakfast is good. (The morning crew is very sweet.) The beds are comfortable. The free WiFi is good. It is clean. The hotel itself is old, though, and not in great repair. If you're not planning to spend much time in the room, it's good.

The service was friendly and prompt, the cook to order breakfast was delicious. The room clean and the bed comfortable. This was a pleasure trip and I did not use all the facilities or services offered this trip. I will stay again when visiting Sacramento area.
