We stayed here recently and hated it. We actually ended up cutting the Milan portion of our trip short by one day. The rooms are entirely concrete (floors with no rugs, walls) and every other surface is black. The electrical outlets are near the floor, under the desk – you have to crawl on the concrete floor under the desk to plug anything in. The internet connection actually did something to my computer that made it not usable for the remainder of the trip (fixed now). We couldn’t figure out how to turn off some of the lights and the entryway lights weren’t working at all. Also, their electronic key system was not working so we were only able to have one key for the two of us staying in the room. This hotel seemed like it was designed by someone who never actually stays at hotels. I was relieved to see that there were real towels in the bathroom and not a large industrial fan instead.

This is an amazingly well-located hotel with a cool, trendy decor. The service was friendly but not effusive as some hotels can be. There was no one to greet us at the door and we had to carry our bags in ourselves but eventually someone showed up to help take our bags to the room. The best part was the location which was, literally, one minute away from the Duomo. The decor is really contemporary, with a hip, urban use of distressed metals, mirrors and polished wood. Rarely does one feel cool just standing in a room but this hotel manages it. Coolness aside, the rooms abounded with thoughtful details like good reading lamps and places to open your bag. I'd definitely go back and am recommending it to everyone I've told about the trip.
