We stayed at 6 motels on a trip to Florida, and this one was by far the best! Although the location directly across from a big truck stop may put you off, it was newly renovated, very tastefully done, great lighting, clean, and very friendly staff. The bed was comfy, the towels were soft, and dispite the location, I didn't hear anything - and noise really bugs me. A great value even at twice what we paid. It made futeure hotels look shabby!

This was honestly the worst value for money spent we have had in years of traveling. This place had not seen a coat of paint in years and who knows when last updated. The fixtures were ancient and the toilet seat was barely attacched to the toilet. There was one towel in the room for the two of us and it looked like it hadn't been washed.
What irritated us the most was that it was a AAA diamond rated hotel??? Shakes my confidence in AAA ratings. As long as they get their anual fee I guess it doesn't matter??
We have stayed at Howard Jonhnson hotels before and been quite pleased but we discovered that this was a privately owned hotel with some sort of arrangement with Howard Johnson. -

This hotel is run down and in a bad part of town. The clothes rack was falling off the wall...electrical outlet didn't work and one afternoon while taking a nap someone knocked on my door and wanted to spray for bugs! Every night police cars with sirens blaring went by. Spend more money and go somewhere else!
