  of traveling, my husband pulled into the Howard Johnson's instead of the LaQuinta that I wanted. The room was cheaper...that was a plus. Then I entered the room. It was clean and cool. The bed was a little harder than I'm used to but perfect for my husband. I felt safe there too. The interstate noise was minimul as was the noise from the truck stop next door. Once I was out....I was out. The only draw back was the continental breakfast. The juice machine either needed to be cleaned or the juice inside was bad. Apparently it had been bad for a while because I heard another overnight guest commenting on how bad the orange juice had tasted the day before. Overall, I was comfortable and would stay again if passing through Iowa, LA
