This hotel is exactly what it seems to be. It's a good place to stay for a night or two. When I travel I don't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel and instead spend my time exploring the cities that I'm vacationing in. This wasn't the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, but it was clean and the staff was very friendly. I was in town for an event at the Roanoke Civic Center, and even though it was a 15 minute drive away, for the price there were no comparable hotels. I would have easily spent double the amount of money at most other places in the area - and this hotel was in safe location and had all the standards that I needed. I'm planning a trip back to Roanoke in the spring and am planning on staying here again. Also - as a side note. Several reviews on here spoke of bug infestations. I live in Virginia and am fully aware of the "stink bug" epidemic that swept through the state this year. My house is very clean and we still get stick bugs - that is not an indicator of cleanliness.

While the room was comfortable as it usually has been, there was was the sad experioence of little creepy-crawly things in my bed which I reported. I do hope they get the proper exterminator in to rid the facility of the problem for there is no such thing as "one bed bug."

First and foremost.... the management and staff were wonderful. Friendly, helpful, and they did nothing wrong. The problem lies in the fact that the hotel has outward facing room doors, and the area, for whatever reason, is insanely infested with stink bugs. After going to 3 different rooms, and finding the little bugs in every room, I had to move on. If a few bugs do not bother you, this hotel is a GREAT value for the GREAT price.... .... but I hate bugs.......

A stay for a mature traveler works out fine. No-o-o-o, it doesn't have fancy amenities like room service and candy on the pillow everynight but then again, it's value for the money and for my needs and tastes this works out well. I would stay again and recommend for others not expecting the high-priced amenities .. which you pay for. I didn't and don't need them and therefore why pay? This is more than fair value for the money.

Just a few words of basic appreciation for another fine stay in September 2010. Sure, it's not the real expensive guys but for the money, it is MORE than worth it. I would definitely stay again.
