I have already had to send you my NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE review via snail mail (USPOdept) as you would not take my complaint on the internet........I HAVE EVERY COMPLAINT IN THE BOOK ABOUT THIS PRE-RESERVED MOTEL...... The price was exorbitant for this decrepit place. It was cheap; sheets, covers, carpeting, broken down walls, shower floor terrible. For the business this place gets on main drag in Flagstaff, AZ, I was ashamed to stay at this one....I felt sorry for other like ourselves who relied on the name of Howard Johnson to have a good night's sleep before proceeding on the last of 5K mile trip which we were experiencing. Our stays have always been pleasant in Flagstaff as this is our stopping point on way to and back from ABQ, NM. ALWAYS the motels are decent and they have been reserved through web BUT NOT THIS TIME! WE give THUMBS DOWN on this place. If web continues to carry them as a choice it reflects on your reputation.

Repeating the many other reviews .... filthy dirty place and overpriced. Not at all like other quality HoJo's I've been in. Literally there was a pizza box (with leftover slices) and spilled soda from bottles in a clothes drawer. 5 of 7 light bulbs burnt out. walls, windows, etc filthy with who knows what sprayed over them , seemingly for a few decades. Reserved a King Bed, given room with 2 doubles - with a STRONG urine smell. "Better" room given with all the above issues. Bar next door is great if you don't mind drunks screaming at 2am outside your window. Trains are very loud too. If your AC/fan unit happens to work, keeping it on helps dull the noise. After viewing the stench/scum in the rest of the room, one would be wise to assume they'd get some respiratory infection from whatever bugs are in the ac/fan unit, however. So very sad that such a place in a unique setting has been trashed & uncared for. If you don't mind urine smell, other body fluids spewed on walls/bedspreads, and disease - stay here! bring your antibiotics! Soap and hard work doesn't cost much - owners need to get off their rear and care for those shelling out money .... honor what you offer.

We stayed here because it was all the was left. Every review above has been accurate - from the doors that don"t close to the absoulte filth. We had the misfortune of finding marajuana and rum left over from the previous guests in our room. In addition to the dirt - the toilet, sink, window, door, and tub were broken. Please do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs - it is not worth any price.
